The OR Society – upcoming opportunities for Maths students

The Operational Research Society works with university students to raise awareness of postgraduate degrees and career opportunities in the fields of operational research (OR), analytics and data science. One of the main ways we do this is with our upcoming careers fair. Students can also join The OR Society free of charge and take advantage of our member benefits. Please share these opportunities with the university students in your network.

Careers Open Day

The OR Society’s Careers Open Day Online connects students from STEM fields and other numerate degrees with top OR, analytics and data science employers to discuss job opportunities and the benefits of working in these sectors.

The Careers Open Day 2021 is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in operational research, analytics or data science

This online, free event enables students to:

  • Connect one-to-one with OR and analytics employers
  • Learn how to apply for their dream job
  • Attend interview and CV skills sessions
  • Gain insight from advice and case studies

Our Careers Open Day will introduce attendees to a number of organisations through sessions, talks and one-to-one calls, where they can learn what working for these companies is like and what different roles involve. Many of these employers will be actively hiring, so students can ask for their top tips on applying for a job with them!
